Pet Travel from New Zealand

In the case your pet is travelling internationally anywhere other than Australia, your pet will be required to complete their final Veterinary clearance at the Ministry of Primary Industries (MPI) facility 5 minutes from our Auckland Transit Lounge. Your pet will be accompanied by one of our experienced Pet Handlers whilst an MPI Veterinarian completes the overall health check and issues the official Health Certificate. Once this appointment has been completed, our Pet Handlers will bring your furbaby back to the transit lounge where they can relax and get cared for as they wait for their flight.

Safety & Care

Our partnering veterinarians operate from the Jetpets Transit Lounge, Monday through Thursday, and are responsible for completing all necessary veterinary procedures required for pet travel to Australia, including the issuance of official export certificates. They also conduct thorough health checks to ensure all pets are fit, safe, and healthy for travel. Should you have any concerns regarding your pet’s health, our veterinarians are available to provide guidance and advice on how best to prepare your pet for their journey.

By having our veterinary partners based at the Transit Lounge, we eliminate the need for multiple visits to external veterinary clinics, creating a more seamless and stress-free experience for both pets and their owners. Whether you’re arranging domestic pet transport within New Zealand or international pet travel from New Zealand, you can trust Jetpets’ partnering veterinarians to provide the highest standard of care for your beloved companion.
