Registering pets: Pets must be registered in Germany, with microchipping or tattoo ID.
Pet Culture: You can take your pet with you when travelling Germany by train. Train tickets can be purchased for them at about half the regular fee.

China

Pet culture: Many people own small dogs in Hong Kong. Many people choose to muzzle their dogs, purely so they don’t eat food off the sidewalk.

Registering pets: Dogs must wear a collar with its owner's details inscribed on the collar when in a public place. Microchips and tattoos are not legally required.
Pet culture: Pets are allowed to travel on any forms of public transport in London.

Netherlands

Registering pets: Pets must be microchipped. They must be fully vaccinated, including a rabies certificate.
Pet culture: Pets are allowed on most forms of public transport such as buses trains and even taxi's!

Canada

Vancouver has 33 off-leash dog parks

Registering pets: Pets do not require to be microchipped or have tattoo identification, they also do not require health certificates.
Pet culture: Dog leads must be 2.5m long. Dogs are not allowed on bathing beaches, whether on or off their leash. Dumping dog waste in municipal trash bins is prohibited. All waste must be flushed down the toilet.

Dubai

Registering pets: All pets must be registered with the council
Pet culture: Culture around pets is very conservative. Pets are not allowed in public parks or beaches, but there are some great alternative to walking your pets, such as the surrounding desert and indoor doggy playgrounds.

Malaysia

USA

Pet culture: Much like in Australia, Americans treat their pets as part of the family. Pets are allowed to ride on the subway (as long as they are inside travel crates)
